• Buttercream florals all the way! I don’t offer semi-naked or fondant cakes, and I am very partial to an unfinished edge on a buttercream cake.

  • I know that all you really want is a simple answer here, and you’ve probably already been to my Pricing page, but the answer really does vary on a lot of different things. Obvious ones like size and flavour, but also the style of flower arrangement you’re choosing, how complex the flowers are, how much notice you’re asking with…

  • Though I am happy to bake using (e.g.) nut/dairy/gluten/egg-free recipes, my kitchen is not an allergen-free space. Even if the recipe/flavour chosen does not contain one of these allergens, I cannot guarantee that they have not been present in the manufacturing process of either the ingredients, or the making of the cake, as I do use these ingredients in my kitchen on occasion. I thoroughly clean the preparation area before starting to bake or decorate, and complete free-from orders first, but do not own separate equipment.

  • This depends on how many portions you’d like to get out of your order, and what size portion you’re choosing. My cakes are 5-6” high, so for a wedding, I usually recommend working out numbers based on a 1x1” slice (don’t worry, I can provide cutting guides!), but if the cake is the only dessert in the evening, or you just really like cake, we can work on 2x1” portions instead. Cupcakes are much simpler. Usually one per person ;)

  • The simple answer is: as early as possible. The more detailed answer is to aim for a minimum of 2 weeks for cupcakes or a celebration cake, and about 12 months for a wedding cake. You don’t have to know all of the details when you enquire, don’t worry!
